وَأَرْسَلَ عَلَيْهِمْ طَيْرًا أَبَابِيلَ(3) تَرْمِيهِم بِحِجَارَةٍ مِّن سِجِّيلٍ(4) فَجَعَلَهُمْ كَعَصْفٍ مَّأْكُولٍ(5)

Why do I get the feeling that these 'birds with stones from hell' are just airships dropping bombs and missiles? Sounds very similar to what we see in modern wars. What do you think?
